Your absolutely right, gear cannot spin on its own, it's spinning because motor wants to go forward, when it should be going back (to open).
I will check gap in morning (9:50 pm) here, in Puerto Rico> I do have mechanical limit switch, and it seems to click fine and work fine in both forward and back positions. But I do not know condition of contact's, can be pitted or corroded. As I said earlier, it does not happen all the time. I really do appreciate you taking the time to help me.
