Robus 350 - Rincon - 11-09-2018
Have Nice Robus350 12 years old, lately (and not all the time) when attempting to open gate it goes forward (closing) and gear spins on track. hitting remote again and it works correctly. Any ideas ??

gear spins on track ? first check gap between gear and track (max gap 3mm)

Thanks Tom for quick reply, reason gear is spinning is that gate is closed and cannot go any father. Seems rather than going back, to open it wants to go forward.

when the gate is closed gear can't spin in normal circumstances ! . Check gap between gear and track when gate are closed .
and tell us the tape of limit switch is that magnetic or mechanical one ?

Your absolutely right, gear cannot spin on its own, it's spinning because motor wants to go forward, when it should be going back (to open).
I will check gap in morning (9:50 pm) here, in Puerto Rico> I do have mechanical limit switch, and it seems to click fine and work fine in both forward and back positions. But I do not know condition of contact's, can be pitted or corroded. As I said earlier, it does not happen all the time. I really do appreciate you taking the time to help me.

HI,
did think about replacing limit switch, could not find in US, available @ European sites, with shipping becomes pretty expensive for a guess.
Gap is correct, works fine manually. I will try and reprogram. Have manual, seems a little complicated, but I will try.

programing is realy easy all you have to do is keep pressing 2 buttns for some time and observe led status on panel.
