Nice mc842h cable connection to gate lock

Hello 

Does the cable used to vonnect the gate conyrol unit need to be sheilded?   Total run from control unit to lock 15 meters.  Sorry to ask but have a unit usinh sheilded cable with outer sheild not grounded at any point. And looks like the original installer used what ever was available

is that wire used for operating that gate (push button ? )
if the wire is buried together with power cable yes it have to be shielded.

Hi.

Cable is used to drive a 12 volt strike lock. And partialy run with the power cable. I will run sheilded if i csn find in town. In rural Spain so not easy for parts.
