We are having a company fit our sliding gate. They have set a six inch deep steel girder in the drive set in concrete. They have then welded a tube to the top for the track. The track is galvanised but the steer girder isn't. All they did was paint the top of the track and girder silver once the track was welded on.
Is this normal? I'm concerned if will rust an fall apart over time. It has cost a huge amount of money and expect it to last a life time.
Should I be concerned?
