bft deimos ultra bt600 error f1

Hi guys, I've been  using a BFT Deimos Ultra BT600 sliding gate opener for about 5 years now and I have never had any issues with it until a week ago when, after a rainy day, the device started malfunctioning. It opens the gate normally, but then it refuses to close it neither by remote nor through the respective button on the board. When I press any of the "close' buttons 'ERF1' appears on the display. The manual suggested checking the connections to the 'limit switch' which I did but to no avail. Next I did a hard reset, as described in the manual and the problem was solved. A week later though, after another rain, same problem appeared again. I'll reset it once again but I'm wondering what may be causing the malfunction to persist. Does any one have any idea what may be the reason for this particular error? Looks like it is rain/humidity related but why now? In the past five years or so it had rained and snowed hundreds of times but it had never  caused any problems. Any input will be highly appreciated.

Hi,

This is a photocell issue.


ER01 Photocells faulty test Exchange of photocell's contacts hasn't been detected or has taken place beyond the useful test time.
- Check the wiring of tested photocells
- Logics setting: photocells Test is active
- Check hardware failures on photocell's Rx or Tx
- Check presence of power supply on 24V output and/or starting of 24V Vsafe power supply
- Repairs: replace relays or components on 24V or 24V vsafe power supply circuit, components on inputs circuit

It is ERF1 and not ER01. Thanks for the suggestions anyway, but I have never installed photocells on this gate.

Hi,

Thank you for clarifying that with my colleague.

ERF1 basically means that the limit switches were not released after the start of the manoeuvre. 

Here are a few things that could of caused this.
- Both limit switches shown an open contact.
- Hardware failure of limit switch inputs circuit.
- Contact of the last limit switch detected has not close after a start command.
- Released motor
- Hardware failure of limit switch inputs circuit

A couple of things to try would be the following.
- Check limit switches wiring and/or contacts or motor
- Release and unrelease the motor
- Reparation: input circuit components replacement

Hi,
thanks for the input. In fact I did a hard reset of the board about 10 days ago and the system is working as it should since then, even after a couple of days with heavy rain. So far so good. Thanks anyway.
