when the open/close is activated the gate only travels (in the open or closing) for about 1-2 seconds about 12-18 inches then stops and backs about 2-4 inches. I can continuously depress the open/close button continuously and the gate with finally travel to fully open or fully closed after several of these short runs. When in the manual unlocked I can easily move the gate fully open and fully closed without any bumps or issue with one hand.
This gate was working great. then not so great so I reset the controls by depressing F+- and this is all I get: 2 seconds of travel
