CAME ZLJ24 Control Panel - SmtsFnd - 09-04-2024 Hello all, My CAME automatic gates aren't working at the moment and I was hoping for a bit of a steer towards the root cause. I have checked out the following: - fob batteries all ok - object sensors are clear and the fuse is fine (this blew a couple of years ago and has been fine since I replaced it) - the gate motors are not seized, I have put them into manual mode and can open and shut them no problem When I opened the control panel box to see if I could program of reset the gates I noticed some water in the bottom of the box, it has been raining a lot here for the last few weeks. The programming display is only showing solid bars, and the four buttons below did nothing to change this. The PCB and transformers appear dry from the front and there is power to the board, however my instinct is leaning towards the PCB being damaged and needing replaced. Any insight would be hugely appreciated. Thanks! RE: CAME ZLJ24 Control Panel - Michael - 11-04-2024 Hi, Do you notice any damage on the board? check the front and back for any water ingress. Or if you would like to forward some images over to technical@easygates.co.uk of the front and back of the board, we can take a look for you. I pulled the board out yesterday and found the culprit. A slug had decided to turn itself into a new track, shorting one of the smaller capacitors against an IC chip (to my eyes anyway). Maybe a couple of resistors higher up on the PCB too. I removed our sadly deceased friend, cleaned the contacts, and refitted to PCB, but the state remained the same. I'm going to buy a replacement board and an adhesive seal for the control panel box to prevent any more unwanted guests. I'll post an update here once this is done. Do you know if a new PCB would require any special installation software, or will it be plug and play + manual programming of the gate timings via the built in controller? Thanks! This controller will not need any specialist programming tool. Joe RE: CAME ZLJ24 Control Panel - SmtsFnd - 25-04-2024 Hello. Just a final update - I've replaced the board and all is working again. In addition to the new seal around the control panel box the PCB supplier also recommended silicone sealant in the cable glands to help block all slug routes, it seems this is a very common issue. Many thanks again to Michael & Joe for the help. Cheers! RE: CAME ZLJ24 Control Panel - JoeF - 08-05-2024 (25-04-2024, 08:38 AM)SmtsFnd Wrote: Hello.
