what size allen key for liftmaster gatestop and bolt?

Hi

I need to change the hinge fixing on my liftmaster gates.  I got the parts but I need to transfer the gatestop from the old to the new but it is held with a nut that needs an allen key.  What size allen key do I need?  I should explain when I try to undo bolt the whole thing rotates. 

Also what size is the bolt that hold the hinge to the motor and where can I get them?

Hi,

I am unsure of the exact key size needed. I recommend purchasing an allen key set and going through a trial and error sequence, you can pick up a set fairly cheap from the local handyman. I recommend gripping the nut with an adjustable spanner whilst using the correct size allen key to loosen the bolt. You can also take the bolt to a local handyman, these items are fairly common and stock of them should be readily available.

Thanks for reply. I did a bit of searching while waiting for a reply and in the end I ordered the 2 complete bits, its called LiftMaster SUB-110 110° Opening Gate Arm. The gates are up quite a while so I am going to replace the lot except the gates. I get all I need and the gate stops are included. I will keep the other bits as spares.
