connect Remote control to Arduino

I have the MITO remote control with four buttons.
I want to connect it with a relay that is controlled from a microcontroller (arduino) All I want is to imitate the button press with a rellay
is the pins 1 and 2 (in the image) the only ones that I should use?

Yes. I used to solder wires to those pins and fit Tx inside the RTE button in some strange applications

A few hours ago, I risked to burn the remote. I short circuited these pins and the gate opened.
I am going to connect a relay wth thi and If I make it work, I will post some picturesif anyone in interested

It works perfectly. Arduino can control now the gate. It is funny.

Is there no way to wire a relay directly into the motor control board? I'm hoping to add our gate to our zwave home automation network.
