CAME ZA3 Not opening & red light (program) flashing
#1
We have a CAME ZA3 not opening & red light (program) flashing. The same happened a few days ago, and it seemed to come back working again after a while. Anyone who has any suggestions what may cause this and how it maybe rectified? Looking forward to constructive replies!

Hi,

From looking at the manual there is no diagnostic table which could help me identify a problem for you.

Please take these factors into account. Do you have inside photocells? These could be the problem as to why they are not opening.

Also is the panel humming or wanting to start, this could be a capacitor problem.

Sam.

Hi Sam, it turned out to be the photocells last time. This time the gate is openend and doesn’t close... any suggestions..? Nothing seems obstructing the photocells, but not sure how i can confirm it’s not (one of ) these. Any suggestions?

Nope, but I notice you can get a complete new motherboard for £109 online for the ZA3 at Autogate Supplies, so if I can't find an answer it might have to be that.

I have changed the MB last year! This time i’m pretty certain it’s caused by a sensor as the issue arose after a paint job on the gate

Any update on this? My za3 likes to keep staying open, it will sometimes close by itself. Last year sensors had to be cleaned, then i bought be photosensors and it work perfectly for about 6 months now it's done it again, I've put new sensors on again but it's still the same.

I'm not sure what to do next apart from maybe fit new capacitors as they are almost 14 years old. Or get a new PCB.

Any suggestions? Also I've noticed the caps looks like a completely different design on newer came control boxes
