BFT P7 Opening Time / Not Completing Stroke

I'm setting up a BFT P7 with a Rigel 5 control panel. When I set the working time to 45s the closing stroke completes fully (Hits full travel at both ends). However with a 45s working time the opening stroke stops prematurely with perhaps 10cm more travel possible.

If I set the working time to 60s both opening and closing work as expected. But the closing stroke hits maximum travel with 15s to spare and just pushes against itself.

Does anyone know what could be causing this? Is it acceptable to set the working time to 60s?

From the details provide i believe this could be a problem with the motor itself i.e possibly the hydraulic oil being low. you said you are setting the system up. Is this its first time use or is it a second hand unit? How old are the rams?.

If its a brand new system this could possibly be a geometry problem with the way the arms are mounted on the gate. I don't believe this will be a control panel problem.

The rams are new. The system itself was setup with some different rams which weren't up to the job, so i'm replacing them with hydraulic ones. I haven't attached them to the gates yet so this is purely testing with no load.

The problem seems to be present on both rams but worse on one than the other. The opening stroke is much slower / has less travel than the closing stroke.

I'll double check the oil. I think the other solution is to try and install some limit switches.
