Can't Get my key switch to work

Can anyone help.
I recently fitted an SCS300 double gate opener it all works fine except for the key switch. I was advused to connect to connections 17 & 20 but nothing happens. when I connect to 17 &19 both gates open when i turn the key but only one closes.
Is it possible to have both gates open and close. If this is not possible then can it be set so that only the first gate and not the time delayed gate.

The one side of the keywitch need to be connected to pins 17 and 20 if it is a CB11 control board and should open both gates no problem
