Keypad only opens after change

Hi everyone,

I have a BFT ultra A600 thats been installed and set up a few years ago.  Some time ago my father asked an installer to turn on the automatic closing which they did.  It was rediculously short and after the gate closed onto my car as I was reversing I had enough of it and looked up how to turn the automatic closing off.

I was able to do that but when testing I noticed the keypad can only open the gate after the pin is entered instead of toggling between open and close.  I tried everything and whenever I enter the pin, the screen on the board says OPEN.

For now I've been using the remote which does toggle open and close as normal.  I've tried checked everything and can't figure out what setting to change so that it behaves back like a normal gate again with the keypad.  A few times I've been caught out as I arrive, open the gate with the keypad and can't close the gate.  Need to drive home to get a remote and come back just to close it.

Any help or guidance would be much appreciated.

Thanks for the message.

Is this a wireless keypad or is it hard wired? if it is hard wired it will be effected by the logic of the control panel. if it is wireless it will be effected by the means of programming into the control panel.
