Fine during day, but detecting obstruction rest of time!

Yeah but that part is just for unlocking that part of the gate from the motor. It's not causing the gate to think it is obstructed - I snapped it when trying to diagnose the problem
Also I already had a local gate specialist look at this, he said he didn't know what was causing the problem and he's never seen it before.

Maybe I'll buy the same system again and replace all the parts.

Then if it still happens, smash it all to pieces with a large hammer and put a manual gate there...
