Can you explain what issue you have with the Daitem handset? Does it have speech? Can you open the gate with it? if cannot do both of the above, then i would say that the handset is faulty. You will need to replace the entire daitem system for the new update digital version as they are not compatible with each other.

I have fitted new batteries. When I press the little button in the controller and within 20 secs press the external intercom button it beeps as supposed to. Then within 20 secs I press the two buttons on the handset as shown in the handbook
But it does not beep as to show connected.
The small Came remotes work perfect. But not the phone handsets
