It sounds like either the range is dropping heavily or the logic board has completely gone. There are 2 options.
1. Replace the logic board for the system (you'll need to find out which frequency your remotes are operating on)
2. Hard wire an additional receiver onto the back of the motor using the 3 terminals which are numbered. This will allow you to use newer remotes which will be more readily available in the future. i believe the 4335E will be discontinued in the near future, and if its the 4185E then this has already been discontinued and are no longer available.
