I have a pair of faac photocells xp20d that need wiring into the board can anyone help as the storm damage pulled a lot out!! So I am at a loss which wire goes where. Appreciate your help
I have a faac 455 board
Hi Neil,
thanks for the message.
it is difficult to advise as the cables could be joined along the circuit which intern makes connections difficult. you may need an engineer out to meter the cables to ensure they are connected in the correct terminals.

hi Joe many thanks for your reply I have done some digging and searching and I can confirm that
My
tx has a black negative 1
and white positive 2
my rx has
2 green wire
3 yellow wire
4 minus orange wire
5 positive brown wire
looking at the manual I would assume to get the photocells to work I would need to wire
tx 1 to 19
2 to 18
rx
2 to 12
3&4 to 14
5 to 18
But!!! The Manual seems to show on rx a bridge between 2&3??
i checked the advances
programming On the 455d and PH is on Y.
i have taken some photos and tested the wires.
the photocells are powered on now and the light dl1&dl2 are on and if I break the beam with my hand they click of.
But the gates still close and do not stop and reverse!?! Any ideas please
Thanks in advance
Hi Neil,
Thank you for your response.
The photocells would need to be wired as such.
RX Photocell Terminals:
5 - 18 (On Control Panel)
4 - 14 (On Control Panel)
3 and 2 do not have a bridge across, or should not. The diagram you will be looking at is to represent it is a normally closed circuit.
3 - 14 (On Control Panel)
2 - 12/13 (On Control panel, depending on what direction you want the photocells to operate in) CL is for closing direction and OP is for opening direction and they will monitor those manoeuvres.
TX Photocell Terminals:
1 - 4 (On RX Photocell)
2 - 5 (On RX Photocell)
Many thanks
Ben
Many thanks just to confirm Ben the
Tx1
1 to 4 on rx or 14 on panel
And
2 on 5 on rx or 18 on panel
?
I guess if I put the wire in the panel at those points does the same job?
Your help is greatly appreciated
