Hi
I'm looking at getting a FAAC 740 for our sliding gate. The installation manual suggests pouring cement into the foundation and allowing the cement to set with the foundation plate bolts in position, but our driveway is already entirely concreted. Doe anyone know if there are ways to bolt the foundation plate down instead? It's not clear from the manual if the provided bolts can be fastened into concrete.
In fact, I'm not sure what the purpose of the foundation plate is when the motor is designed to be held up by the 4 bolts (and their nuts and washers). The plate seems to act like nothing more than a template for placing the bolts.
Any thought appreciated.
Thanks
