CAME Ati A3000A - Will not open

One leaf of my gates has just developed a fault & will not open.

If I use the key and open it manually I can get it to close automatically (if I turn the key to get it to engage) so it doesn't look like anything major is wrong.

Can anyone shed any light on what my problem might be ?

Is this a double gate (two leaf) system?
Is the motor really stiff to move on release?
If the motor is closing and not opeing and the system is wired correctly then i would say that the motor is not getting a opening supply from the panel.
Could be panel/ cable or motor itself is faulty?

This is a double gate - the other leaf continues to function correctly. When the malfunctioning motor is released the gate moves pretty freely and will then close electrically if the motor is re-engaged.
