Faac photocell stopped working

Hi

Yesterday my Faac gate would no longer open.
   
To me, it seems that this is due to a photocell.

Normally the sensors on one side always give 2 blue leds.
When standing in front of the sensor only one light should be on.

Now, there is 1 photocell that always shows only 1 blue led.
The photocell was wet inside. Drying it solved the problem, although it took a while before both the leds where on again. 
A couple hours laters, the same problem occurred. Only one led was on while there was no obstruction. It did't rain during these hours. 
I can't manage to solve this.

Thank you for your enquiry.

Potentially there could be a short on the photocells' circuit board which could be throwing up this fault; it is hard to say for definite that is one of the assumptions I would make from your detailed enquiry. Could you please inform me of the model number of the photocells, this way I can see if I can get a manual online and assist you further with this issue, however usually with these types of issues when water ingress is present it is usually time to replace the photocells. 

Furthermore could you tell me what control panel you are using these photocells with?

Thank you for your help. 
I'm going to replace the photocell. Hopefully, this will solve the issue.
