Proteco Q60A n2 error code
#1
Hi Following a major storm of wind and rain which resulted in a power supply failure my Aster gates have failed to function and go from -- (stand by ) to error code n2 when activated. There was no evidence of water ingress into the control housing and although the earth trip triggered it has reset without problem.
If I reset the parameters to P5 (only one motor) and then successively plug in motor 1 then motor 2,into motor 1 terminals 13,14,15 they both work normally suggesting the motors themselves are OK and the problem lies in the control panel. Both motor fuses are OK.

Any advice welcome

Hi

Thank you for your posting.

Indeed thank you for running a test i would have suggested (fooling board to think there is only one motor attached and running both independently from it) – however, if you swapped both motors round to begin with, would you still see N2? If this was the case, without a doubt I would feel there is an issue developed with terminals 16/17/18 and would look towards:

• The condition of the spade contacts on that terminal grouping
• The condition of the reverse side of the control board on the off chance something has run across the copper tracking
• The level of torque on that terminal grouping output (parameter F2)

Kind Regards

now appears possible that there is an element of damp not visible but hidden between the PCB and underside of components on the Rt. 230V half of the board ,
Any more suggestions ?

Yours sincerely
Horace
Thank you for your response
I have examined all three possibilities suggested but with no success

Hi

Without using a volt meter, is hard to determine if those terminals 16/17/18 are at least passing a voltage through them. Your motors have tested fine from your experiements - just leaves the cabling (which you have ruled out from being damp) and the control board physical terminals themselves.
