Alright Folks..
Was out at a job recently due to Gate Access and Entry Video unit not working. Found issues with the video door entry unit which is all fine and I’m capable of solving. When tracing issues with the Gate System ive found the board to be burnt out. This is due to whoever installed coming in the rear of the IP box and siliconing it up.. through time ingress has got in and the board has Fried.
The pcb is a 7pcb452/455 FAAC so my hope would be that I could by the new pcb and replace it over without having to remove the existing wires etc as they are all still in place.
If I manage to do the above okay is there anything I need to know out with the programming side of things. Or is there default settings in place or a basic rule to follow?
It’s more the programming that I’m concerned about so not sure how difficult it should be.
I’m an electrician to trade but also do a lot of intruder, cctv so don’t normally carry out work on gates only started as fixing the video intercom and was hoping the gate had only tripped.
