Wiring photocells in series
#1
I need to know what is meant by wiring photocells in series. Can anyone help?

I have a Q60AR control board and Proteco photocells and I am trying to wire them in series. The transmitters have the usual two terminals but the receivers have only four terminals. All the information I have seen so far shows how to connect 5 terminal receivers. Can anyone send me a diagram(similar to the LiftMaster diagram to wire two sets of Photocells) to show how I can wire the cells to the Q60AR.

Thank You

HI

This means that the photocells are linked together to create a looped circuit i.e. watching both sides of the gate at the same time for the specific purpose (opening cycle or closing cycle) - therefore if either photocell beam breaks during that cycle, the gates will stop and fling into reverse. If you have an email address you can give us, we can send you ove the specific diagram for this. Alternatively you can obtain this from our website. www.gatemotors.co.uk
