Hi we have just taken over the maintenance of an access control system on a school, we are new to the access control business but have been in the electrical installation business for over 25 yrs, my question is what is the general procedure for routine maintenance to the system ie greasing up gates rams etc, any feedback we would appreciate and thanks in advance.

Maintenance contracts require a number of procedures. Cleaning of photocells & control boards, greasing of motors or gate tracks. Adjustments to the parameters of the gates if required. But most importantly you must ensure the gates are up to date with the current regulations.
