Chamberlain Liftmaster gate problem CB1 - Armstrong - 29-08-2009 I have a Chamberlain Liftmaster 300k actuator operating a single leaf gate. The control unit is a Liftmaster CB1 unit. All was working well when the unit stopped working. Inspection revealed that the motor start capacitor had burned out. I purchased a replacement unit of the same type and capacity and installed it. When I operated the gate it was slow to start. When it did start the settings were all wrong with the gate stopping halfway through the travel. I've tried resetting the gate position and retrying but the operation is no longer consistent in operation and sometimes fails to operate. I've not tampered with the board settings as the setting were fine before the capacitor failed. I'd be grateful for any advice from anyone who has experienced a similar problem. Alternatively does anyone know of a suitable maintenance company in the Stratford on Avon area in the UK Midlands. Many thanks RE: Chamberlain Liftmaster gate problem - easygates - 12-01-2010 Armstrong Wrote:I have a Chamberlain Liftmaster 300k actuator operating a single leaf gate. Hi, try turning up the runtime and the force of that motor. if the capacitor is the same type then it should be working o.k. maybe the arm is damaged. i will attach the CB1 instructions for your reference. you could try swapping the motors over on the board. this will tell you if the board is the fault or the motor. RE: Chamberlain Liftmaster gate problem CB1 - Pop Alexandra - 13-06-2019 Swapping the motors worked just fine for me! Thanks for the tips. ______________________________________ Alexandra fromĀ GCS |
