Advice - Guest - 28-06-2009 I have two separate Chamberlin Motor lift 2000 garage door openers fitted, one has never been a problem but the second has always been temperamental since it was installed. I recently tried to use it again and experienced problem, i.e. it would not open. I was advised to reprogram the remote from the second motor to identify if it was the remote. I did this and the door opened perfectly, however when I attempted to press the remote to close the door, the door moved approximately 12 inches and then opened again and did this repeatedly. I only managed to close the door by continually pressing the remote to stop the door from closing before it would close a further 12 inches. I have disenaged the motor chains and the doors runs incredibly smoothly so the rails/runners are not causing the problem. Can someone please help? RE: Advice - Sparky - 28-06-2009 Sounds like the the limits aren't set correctly or the force limits, here's the manual, read page 19-20 for the settings on the limits. http://www.chamberlain-diy.com/doityourself/pdfdocs/A1773M.PDF |
