Gates had a battering during the recent storm, managed to rip one of the boxes out. After some struggling, concrete and some pins into the foundations, the box is mostly back to where it was. The gate itself though seems to be somehow out of sync with the other (working) side.

Triggering opening, sees the left (recently fixed) arm seemingly try to close, while triggering close seems to see it try to close. Obviously the wiring has not changed, so I don't believe reversed polarity is the issue. Perhaps one of the arm skipped over something it should not have? I'll add a view later to better illustrate.

Chatted with an installer and they reckoned the motor has overrun. Gave me some instructions to fixup, which would probably work, but the transmission lever doesn't seem to want to budge. From looking at the manual, it looks like it originally just slotted in (no bolts beneath), but it must have warped or something. Even with lots of leverage, no sign of it budging.
