BFT Rigel 5 - Phot message - robs999 - 27-10-2024

Hi

I have a Rigel 5 , and it’s coming up with a message Phot

The gate has , 2 x in ground car detectors , photo cell, 2 wire gate keypad, and safety bar FLC 8K2.

The cabinet for the controller was rotten, so I labelled every wire , and transferred to another metal cabinet.

I had a minor issue , it poured with rain and a few labels came off, but I am pretty sure I put them back where they came.

On powering up, the gate stays open, I see an Open message then Phot.

I have tried removing the photo cell connectors 52 and 55, but I then get Phcl.

I have tried bridging 52 and 55 to bypass the photo cell and I still get Phot.

I have given up trying to fault find tonight, a head torch in the rain isn’t great.

Does anyone have any ideas? Or even suggested fault finding process .

Photo of setup attached ( my plan was to tidy and re label when it was daylight dry!)

Thanks

Rob

Hi Rob,

Thank you for your email.

I would recommend also bridging 35 and 36, as I believe this is actually the input that is causing your issue. More than likely if you have photocells on your system, the cable has either broken or the cells have become misaligned overtime or a faulty cell. However providing this bridge will hopefully allow us to rule this out.

Many thanks

Ben
