BFT Rigel 4 - single Gate Not Closing - Tsnash - 03-01-2024

Hi, I have a single gate that is using an old BFT Rigel4 control board which is currently permanently open. I’ve managed to narrow down (or at least overcome) the issue by disconnecting the external manual (push to make) switch, thus the gate now opens and closes via the remote fobs, albeit the sensors if interrupted use to trigger re-opening if an obstruction was detected, currently (with switch disconnected) the gate simply stops immediately. I’ve tested the manual switch and that appears to be fine although I haven’t checked the cable for a short.

Before I call out an engineer, does anyone have any further ideas to isolate the issue please?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Think you are correct, sounds like a short circuit on the NO/COM connections for the impulse commands.
