Came Gates Error code E14 - janker - 19-10-2022 Hello allĀ i have recently had my 2 electric sliding gates stop working,i checked in control panel and no fuses blown or anything obvious ,will not work manually or with the fob. i removed the cover off both motors and one is showing E14 which is communication error but now i dont know what else to try ? The gates move freely manually and cant see anything obvious any ideas would be appreciated. The control board is a ZN7 . thanks Janker RE: Came Gates Error code E14 - benbrooks - 21-10-2022 Hi, Thank you for your enquiry, Have you tried to re-establish a connection between the motors and the control board to check whether it could be loose terminations, further more you could go to the control board and swap over the motors control board side and see if the error stays with the motor or changes motor, if it changes motor then this would indicate a panel fault. I would also try resetting the limits too if possible. Many thanks Ben RE: Came Gates Error code E14 - janker - 22-10-2022 Hi many thanks Ben the connections all seem good ive tried removing both fuse on each motor put them back in and they worked twice then stopped again , ive narrowed it down to one motor if i remove fuse it must reset works for 30 seconds then stops each time i do it. any ideas what could be causing this ? even without moving the gates it only stays on for 30 seconds then goes into fault. This way we can be sure that it is nothing else on the system which is causing the fault, if you could let me know what happens from here I will be able to assist you further on the matter. Many thanks Ben |
