2014 model BFt rolling gate automation - lauriston - 06-02-2022 Hello, Would be grateful for your help. I have a 2014 Bft controller which opens and closes my gates by remote control using a Bft radio controlled 2 button key. The gates are also able to be opened and closed by an button on the house control pad (phone etc). I have a recently fitted electromagnetic opener to my pedestrian gate which uses an outside button controller (and of course a button on the inside control pad. Question 1 Do you think my 2014 BFT controller (presumably sited in the motor box) has 2 radio channels? Follow on Question 2 - if it does have 2 channels can I arrange for the current 2 button key fob to use one of the buttons to control the pedestrian open mechanism (electromagnetic) as well? Grateful for some help please. RE: 2014 model BFt rolling gate automation - JamieF - 07-03-2022 (06-02-2022, 02:08 PM)lauriston Wrote: Hello, Hi, Hope you are well. I do not think your receiver will have x2 channels. However, you could fit a 2 channel BFT receiver to the maglock and the gate. For example, Channel 1 will be connected to the main gate, Channel 2 will be connected to the maglock release. You will then be able to programme the buttons accordingly, button1 - main gate, button2 - maglock. The reason I say to opt for a BFT receiver is so the current remotes you have will work with the receiver, I would not recommend getting a 'universal receiver' from the likes of Amazon, Ebay etc, as these often cause problems. If you wish to look for a receiver, feel free to forward your query onto info@easygates.co.uk, we will be able to advise the specific receiver needed for yourself. Kind regards -Jamie |
