Mag-lock not activating after close - benkay - 17-02-2020 Hi all, I've got a Toona 4 system with MC284H control box. I had to re-mount the static end of the actuators and so decided to run another automatic calibration routine to detect the end-stop positions...I then manually set the leaf-overlap and open positions according to the manual. Previously, all worked well, and a magnetic lock activated after close to lock the leaves in position. After running the calibration routine again, the mag-lock no longer activates after close. I checked that the output is set to magnetic lock (and not courtesy light) and confirmed that it is indeed set to magnetic lock function. Do I somewhere have to tell the control board to activate the magnetic lock? I can't find any reference to this in the manual. Thanks, Ben RE: Mag-lock not activating after close - ldkerlukeHome - 19-02-2025 (17-02-2020, 11:39 AM)benkay Wrote: Hi all, Hi there, did you ever get a resolution of this problem. My unit has somehow started doing the same - cannot seem to get the magnetic lock to activate and there is no AC or DC voltage output from the unit for the ELS. RE: Mag-lock not activating after close - ldkerlukeHome - 24-02-2025 still wondering if there is anyone who has a solution for sudden loss of ELS and magnetic lock function when it was working fine for several years. the Magnetic lock works with an isolated DC power source so it seem to be originating from the MC824H board and outputs or lack there of. Very frustrating as the wind will cause the gates to open as the unit feels the resistance and then opens. Thanks for any help in this. RE: Mag-lock not activating after close - Michael - 13-03-2025 Hi, Firstly, I would check to see if the ELS output is giving out voltage (should be around 12v) once a command has been given. Secondly, if the ELS is giving out voltage, check the relay to see whether it is switching from a NC to NO once the command has been given. Regards Mike RE: Mag-lock not activating after close - ldkerlukeHome - 13-03-2025 (13-03-2025, 10:03 AM)Michael Wrote: Hi,Thanks Michael, I have checked that and the ELS does appear to be sending out voltage. The lock is also powered at 12 v with the transformer and wires to it intact. The challenge I am having is figuring out where the relay is in the system - could it be imbedded in the magnetic lock itself? So I am wondering if the relay has failed or the lock has failed. One of the somewhat disappointing things is every time I seem to open the Nice MC824H controller unit, I find another wire that is loose or broken, so when I fix it and re install the unit, with BlueBUS search, motor designation and positions search’s i get excited that I have sorted out the problem. But it still does not lock the gate when closed with the electromagnetic lock and as such, the number one gates seems to bounce a little with closing and can trigger the photocell on the outside of the gate to start this close-open-close continuous sequence. I have tried to set the maximum close position on the motor 1 to minimize this be cannot seem to easily set the position even with an Oview programmer interface. |
