LA 412dc close limit changes on it's own - shnikabone - 27-12-2015 I have an LA 412DC single gate opener that won't stay put. I reset the open close limits and everything will be working perfectly and then a day or week or a couple hours later I'll drive up and the gate is not where I set the close limit to be. There doesn't seem to be any pattern as to how far out of position or which direction it has moved. Was wondering if this could be caused by wind as there is no latching device on my gate. Any info would be greatly appreciated. RE: LA 412dc close limit changes on it's own - MWJONES - 27-12-2015 May be. What sort of gates? Solid? It's a 12' gate built out of 14 gauge square and rectangular steel tubing. It weighs approx. 225lbs but I hung it with good quality 7" barrel pin hinges. It will swing all the way open/close with just a light push. RE: LA 412dc close limit changes on it's own - MWJONES - 27-12-2015 Is there any movement when the gate is closed? Ie with gate closed will it move (open) when manually push? Ie with gate closed will it move (open) when manually push? Yes if you push on the end of it it will move 2"-3" but it's not like there is any slack. As soon as you stop pushingon it it springs back. |
