training/ qulification - riverside - 02-06-2013 is there a recognised training or qulification scheme to show that you are competant to install or repair automatic gate systems. RE: training/ qulification - Blakey111 - 03-06-2013 Hi, Yes there are such schemes set up. The main diploma of which to look out for, if you are an installer, has been founded by the DHF (Door Hardware Federation) and has been devised by a cast of experts across the industry. Their main task within this diploma is to raise awareness and to brand installers with a badge of competency across all areas of the machinery directive and EN regulations. Please see the following link for more details: http://www.dhfonline.org.uk/article.asp?ID=231 For a more basic approach to gate automation installs which comply, you may want to look into GateSafe. This offers an IOSH accredited certificate of competency in the basic installation of safety equipment on gate automation. See following link for more details: http://gate-safe.org/ If you need any more information, please contact us on 0845 054 5070.
