Use MC424 without photocell - bullyx - 28-06-2015

Hi,

please give me a short description how to wire the MC424 for usage without photocell. At the moment i get an error from LED P2 (4 times blink) - error phototest. For a quick solution i want bypass the photocell.

<EDIT>
How to deactivate the phototest?
</EDIT>
Thanks for your answers.

Have a nice day.

Sven

Hi Sven,

Did you ever figure this out?
I'm trying to find the same answer. According to my understanding of the manual, you need to jumper the input to COMMON.
So in my case that looks like jumpering 13 (PHOTO) to 11 (COMMON).

I'm going to give it a try and will report back.

[UPDATE] Okay I tried this and yes it will bypass the photocell. So you have to jumper BOTH PHOTO (13) and PHOTO1 (14) to COMMON (11) in order to bypass the actual photocells. I just used a small length of wire into the connection block of the terminals.
Hope this helps you out.

Cheers ...Jay
